I updated Chirp at 10 am and believe I have the newest version and this bug is supposedly fixed however I still get the "Repeater book returned an invalid responce" message when I try to query Repeaterbook

I just tried querying Kansas and it works for me. Perhaps it was a transient issue with something on the other end. Can you try again just to confirm?
Note that this is not really a chirp bug and also the original report was for Germany, which is a different backend (on the repeaterbook side) than the United States, so the two can differ in behavior.
