Description

Tried both versions of Prolific driver per Mac OS Tips Wiki. Usbserial connects, shows clone, and radio profile populates in CHIRP for ~1 sec before CHIRP crashes. Mac problem report shows the following:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000006
Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY

Termination Signal: Segmentation fault: 11
Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 0xb
Terminating Process: exc handler [0]

Cloned radio to a laptop with Windows 10, CHIRP 03/31/2018 daily. Everything worked fine. Copied the VV-898 .img to the Mac running CHIRP. Opening the .img on MacOS with CHIRP crashed CHIRP with the same crash report as attached above.
