Description
From E-mail Thread "Wouxun Tx Inhibit" http://intrepid.danplanet.com/pipermail/chirp_users/2016-October/010992.html
I'm unable to set the Wouxun KG-UV8D to Tx Inhibit. Duplex "Off" is not an option for this radio in chirp. Setting the offset to 0 or blank is "Outside the tx range" on this radio.
I've attached a Chirp Image from the radio after it was programmed with the Wouxun Software. The Wouxun software allows me to remove the tx frequency from the programming resulting in a memory channel that can not be transmitted on. In the attached file, memory locations 1 - 6 are setup from the factory software to not transmit. Memory channels 7-20 are setup as simplex channels (FRS 1 - 14)
Thank you

Phil (and anyone else with a KG-UV8D),
Test the attached driver. Here is how you do it.
1 save the "kguv8d.py" driver to where you save your CHIRP Radio Images (*.ing) files
2 load CHIRP
3 click "Help" in the menu bar
4 enable "Enable Developer Functions"
5 click "File" in the menu bar
6 click "Load Module" in the drop down menu
7 locate and load the driver saved in step 1
Now you can test the driver by programming some TX inhibited channels and/or by reading from a radio that already has some programmed.
Note: Loading this driver does not permanently change your CHIRP installation. It has to be loaded every time CHIRP is loaded.

Hi Jim,
I tried to load the file with today's daily build (20161102) and I get the following error:
Unable to load module: invalid syntax (kguv8d.py, line 1)
I've enabled "Enable Developer Functions" and the py file is located outside my "Program Files" directory.
Thanks

Jim,
Please disregard my last two comments. The patch works great!
Thank you.
