Bug #274
openWouxun KG-UV6D save img - too few channels -export hangs
0%
Description
The Wouxun KG-UV6D supports 199 memory channels. Chirp reads all 199 fine, but the saved .img file has only 128. Related is that export hangs for both chirp and csv formats with the green bars at about 75% if using all 199 channels. Using 128 channels the csv export works fine, but the chirp export is not allowed - cannot select any channels to export. I was able to split the file into two parts to export all channels to csv.
Above is using daily-20120811 build, Win XP, on ASUS EEE PC 1005HA with USB cable
Thanks for this great project. - Ron NR5ON

The message I get both when trying to export to chirp or trying to import my KG-UV6D csv file to another file is "Cannot be Ex/Imported because: Duplex Split not supported". - Ron

Attach a debug log please.
Also, could you try an export where you uncheck every channel that is set for split duplex and see if/that it proceeds farther in that case?
Thanks!

When reading the radio all Duplex values are set to "split" - this was the source of most import/export problems. Looks like an issue with properly extracting the settings from the Wouxun. If set Duplex to None, etc. then most imports and exports work fine.
But, Export to chirp file still gives "Cannot Import"! error about Duplex - split. Debug.log is included.
Thanks.

This was a long time ago. Have you tried with a recent version since you submitted this?
If you haven't, and if you're still having this issue, please refer to the Wiki "How To Report Issues" and provide a fresh debug log. Thanks!
