Description
When I follow update instructions for Windows the download consists of the file Download.htm which takes me to root of the web page

There is no "Download.htm" on this site, so you must be following a link to or from somewhere else. What "update instructions" are you following? Just go to Download and follow the link that says "Download the latest CHIRP-next here".

When I click chirp_next_202516-installer.exe (or anything else!) it creates Download.htm in my download folder.
This .htm folder contains what appears to be a directory of the CHIRP archive folder with no links, just html formatting.
FWIW I disabled adblocker and all of Windows 11 safety features and restarted my computer. Same results!
Suggestions? Other than the website, any other way to get current version?
BTW I did make a modest PayPal donation.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on there but I would have to guess it's something with your browser (or "security software" as you identified). You might try a different browser if you have one handy.
There have been almost 2000 successful downloads of the installer.exe since midnight, so I don't think it's anything related to the site...

Now this is strange. Download failed on HP Prodesk. Tried again on GEEKOM. Both running same version and config of Win 11. Both Intel processors. GEEKOM download and install performed flawlessly. I wanted the GEEKOM in shack anyway.
