Description
(Describe what you were doing)
I just started it up, after a complete reinstall of my laptop, it crashed, So at least I saved the onces I uploaded to the radio
(Describe what you expected to happen)
I seen the TYT having the 2M, and 6M, and 70M, But I have a quad band 2M, 6M, 10M, and 70CM. So I have been using the TH9800 one, What has happened, was there was a way to set the frequency to either to show the frequency, OR the Name I enter, and it is not there anymore. Plus several different other settings are gone.
Now I have it for my Quad Band QB25, in the settings I can set it to frequency to show on the radio, or the name, and I use the name so I know exactly what it is. But again, I can not do it anymore with the TYT TH9800
(Has this ever worked before? New radio? Does it work with OEM software?)
Yes, It worked Prior to the fresh install of windows 11, (NOT the NEw Windows 11, the new version is Junk, it has a ton of restrictions on how we do things anymore. again, Yes it was there before, Prob. because I kept the Chirp downloads each time. I even tried to go back, but something in your software stopped working
Please help.

Hi Ray,
I'm not quite sure what you're reporting. The TH-9800 driver hasn't changed substantially since 2022. Are you saying that you think something has disappeared from the TH-9800 driver, or are you saying that you now have a different radio (QB25) and it has different settings? The TH-9800 and QB25 are totally different radios, with different drivers and behaviors and you should not expect them to have the same settings.
Do you have any idea what version of CHIRP you were running before? Like I say, nothing has changed in the TH-9800 driver in a long time, so no settings have been removed or changed recently.

This is Missing from the screen, Option Signaling, Signling Decode, PPT ID,
SQL mode, Scan allow, Emphasis, Compander, Scrambler, Reverse, Talk around,
Beat Shift, AM, Bandwidth, Scan, Display Type (AKA Frequency OR Name) As I
said, I had it before, and it is still in the actual software for the quad
band TH9800D Plus.
and I have no clue as to why it is not showing up in my re-installed chirp
after my crash. windows 11 is working perfectly, so I know it is not the
windows. but something changed somehow. again, what I mentioned above is
completely missing.

Okay, re-reading your message I think maybe I know what's going on.
You're saying that on your QB25 you see the Name/Frequency setting under the "Settings" tab but you don't see that for the TH-9800. On that radio, the setting is per-channel. You can access that either by right-clicking on a memory and choosing "Properties" or by enabling the columns for them in the View menu, by checking "Show Extra Fields".
Is that the problem perhaps?
