Bug #11765
closedWouxun KG-Q336 recognized but not selectable
0%
Description
(Describe what you were doing) Trying to read from the radio for a factory backup and do some additional programming
(Describe what you expected to happen)
I expected Chirp to provide the correct radio model to select for connection.
(Describe what actually happened instead)
Chirp gave a message that I should choose the right radio.
(Has this ever worked before? New radio? Does it work with OEM software?)
No this is my first time with a brand new radio.
I also successfully installed the driver from issue nr. #10692 (for KG-Q10H which was supposed to work for Q332), but unfortunately I got the same message from Chirp.
Connecting to the stock Wouxun software was no problem, but the stock software itself is rather problematic.
Thanks!

I am not sure why you "expected" Chirp to work with the Q336. No where on the supported radio page does it list the Q336 or Q332.
The Q10H/Q10G driver also does not currently allow programming of the Q336/Q332 because the memory maps are very different and I do not possess a physical Q336/Q332 to reverse engineer the memory.
This is not a bug - Chirp does not currently support the Q336 radio. There is a new model request already submitted where you can follow any updates.
