Description

I recently updated my CHIRP (11-14-24) Before there was separate GMRS / HAM / NORMAL selections now just "+HAM GMRS"

And now it seems like simplex channels I enter between channel slot 31 and 45 do not allow me to set DUPLEX to NONE or "" ... only allows + - and SPLIT.

Also not sure if it is the radio or chirp but radio will not transmit on legit GMRS frequencies entered above 54.

The TD-H3 selection detects the mode the radio is in and uses the proper driver. It's intentional.

There have also been many fixes to that driver since that point around proper mapping of the behaviors of the three modes.

Per the IssueInstructions you indicated that you read, please update this bug using the in-chirp tool detailed in How_To_Report_Issues to upload a debug log and the image you're using.

Tried to set up a SIMPLEX channel in channel slot 36 but it will not allow me to set DUPLEX to NONE or "" ... only allows + - and SPLIT.

Yep, so your radio is in GMRS mode which has lots of specific restrictions. Per TID, CHIRP mirrors those as much as possible. If you want to transmit on both GMRS and ham (or other) channels, I believe you need to put the radio into unrestricted mode, which drops all those rules. Either way, this is chirp behaving as designed.
