Bug #11574
closedFound Invalid BCD Encoding - QYT KT-8900 settings tab error pop up after dowloading
100%
Description
(Describe what you were doing)
I downloaded from the radio using the cable provided with the radio. I am using Mac OS.
(Describe what you expected to happen)
To be able to access the Settings tab and make changes.
(Describe what actually happened instead)
A pop-up error appeared showing “Found Invalid BCD Encoding” and I could not see any settings. After clicking “OK” on the error message, the Settings tab was blank.
(Has this ever worked before? New radio? Does it work with OEM software?)
It occured before (see Issue #11461), but with a different error.
Thank you for your help.

Bernard

Please try the attached module using LoadingTestModules.
When you open your image, under Settings->FM Presets you will see that the frequencies of those channels are empty and marked yellow since they are invalid. You may set them to something (if you care, or leave them if you don't).

Dear Dan,
The module worked.
Is the next version of CHIRP going to include this fix?
Thank you for all your help.
Best regards,
Bernardo

Yep, I will push this for the next build. You can use this module until then.
