Description
I recently acquired a Wouxun KGQ-332 radio, but it's not supported by CHIRP and the vendor software isn't all that user-friendly. I am submitting a request to Wouxun tech support for the communication protocol, and I'm an experienced programmer, but if anybody else has access to the information and/or is willing to help me, I'd love to add this 6m/2m/125cm/70cm radio to CHIRP's list of supported radios.

The Q332 series is identical in comm protocol as the Q10H and Q10G.
The difference is in the settings mapping.
There is a beta driver for the Q10H that I created located in the Q10H issue.
https://chirp.danplanet.com/issues/10692
I know that this driver will talk to the 332 series as users were using it to try and program their 332 radio.
I disabled programming for anything other than the Q10H or Q10G as I do not have a radio to test with and I didn't want users to mess up the settings in their radio.

If you have a beta version of a driver for the KG-Q332, I'd be willing to
test it. If you have a version that just programs frequencies, I can use it
and program the other settings with the Wouxun programming software. Let me
know.

If you have a driver for the KG-Q332 I can test, I have a radio. I can also
loan the radio for testing.

Do you have a version of the Q10H protocol that will work with the
KG-Q332? I can use the KG-Q332 software for settings.

I apologize for the time delay, but I'm having trouble finding my Wouxun
programming cable. I'm still looking. It's amazing how something can get
lost in a 360 ft² apartment.

I installed the cable from Wouxun, and tried programming the radio, but I
got "radio did not respond." To make sure, I tested the KG-Q332 programming
software, and it works just fine.

I installed the proper driver and retried the test with the supplied driver
for KG-Q332/336 (Channels only). I was able to upload a set of frequencies
(6M-70cm) downloaded from Repeaterbook. I will be testing the radio over
the next few days, but it seems to be working.
I have contacted Wouxun and asked for the settings mapping so CHIRP can
fully support the KG-Q332/336.
Thank you.

I got a reply from Wouxun tech support. Their position is that it is
"inadvisable" to use CHIRP with Wouxun radios. I've asked why, but don't
expect a substantive answer.

I'm willing to loan a KG-Q332 and the Wouxun programming software if you
think that would allow you to reverse engineer the protocol.
