CHIRP

Just like you don't choose AM when programming from the radio, when you program an 'air band' frequency, the radios automatically sets itself to AM. The Mode value in CHIRP is ignored.

Yep, what Jim said is right, although I know it's also annoying to not be able to import/paste AM channels when they're in the proper range.

I've got a pattern for these (dumb) radios that have this annoying behavior that I can apply to the 470X. I'll do that in the next day or so and have something for you to try.

Thanks. I know it works, just hoping to fix the annoyance since I've been copying channel lists between radios that do and don't support it.

I was actually checking out the code to see if I could figure out a similar pattern. I started working on one that I borrowed from the TD-H3 (since I know that radio does have the option in Chirp), so I'll be interested to see the change you come up with.

And similar but better than the code that I was coming up with, so I learned something. Future bug reports from me will likely include code.
