Bug #11084
closedChirp Next not working with new 2023 made Radioddity GA-510 radio. Error - Radio did not respond to clone request

Description
Hi,
I purchased now two Baofeng BF-H6 radios that are the same as a Radioddity GA-510. Log attached. Tried cable that came with it and a brand new MirKit model 6 premium universal USB to H6 radio cable. Neither work with Chirp Next. I downloaded the Radioddity programming application and the radio downloads and uploads just fine with both cables I have. I tried my friends 2022 H6 radio and his talks just fine to my computer with either of my cables. I sent the first radio back and got another brand new one and it has the same problem not working with Chirp Next. I am running Windows 11 Pro, fully licensed and patched. I have tried it with a several year old Mac and it gets the same error.
Given the above the new 2023 H6 radios are not communicating properly with Chirp Next meaning I can't use my configuration files or my friends configuration files.
Can you please fix this so I can use Chirp Next with my new radio.

I am on Mac OS 13.5.1 with the most recent Chirp installed.
Same issue with 6 new Radioddity GA-510 radios that just arrived.
I would be willing to pay for an upgrade that fixed this problem.

Any update on this issue? I am too experiencing the same problem with a new Radioddity GA-510
Using the latest version of CHIRP
