Description
This was previously well documented in bug #5023 and resolved 3 years ago. However, I still have this issue today. Enabling developer mode and looking at the raw memory, it appears that when Chirp writes a UHF repeater it applies a duplexOffset value of 6000, as opposed to expected 50000 for UHF repeaters. The Properties view on the channel does not show a specific offset, simply showing a Duplex value of '+'.
It would be great if the icomciv.py file exposed the duplexOffset value in the Extra tab within properties for direct editing including non-standard offsets.
See attached debug log with timestamp beginning at 023-12-22 13:18:23,826.
If someone desires to debug this but does not have an IC-7100, I can make myself available for debugging remotely via Discord, Teams, Zoom, Phone... however. :)
The driver (any driver) doesn't default things like duplex or offset. That's done as part of the UI, and only according to certain rules. Please try File->New and add/edit frequencies in a radio-neutral CSV tap to confirm whatever behavior you're seeing is unrelated to the radio driver itself.
Your debug log has a lot of information in it, but without knowing which specific memories or frequencies you're struggling with, it's hard to tell anything about any improper behavior. Please give a specific memory and frequency example that you're editing and then capture a debug log right after that so I can compare what I'm seeing in it to what you actually tried.
Also confirm that Radio->Enable Automatic Edits is checked and what you have set for Radio->Select Band Plan.
