Bug #10826
Updated by Dan Smith over 1 year ago
Two issues. Second issue might be considered a feature. Did not see this on issue list, especially (2) below
(1)Cannot edit memory fields manually in developer mode in the browser; this was possible in older (2022 or older) versions of CHIRP. I discovered this problem while doing my usual workaround for the issue noted below......
(2)ICOM ID-800H: There is an "unknown0" field between "offset" and "rtone" that is actually the field for power (see the almost identical ICOM IC-208H). Is there a reason why this couldn't be "normally" editable without going into the browser?
This has been an issue for many years but the workaround was to use the browser to manually edit the "unknown0" field (0 for high power, 1 for low power, 2 for mid power).
Debug log is attached, though I'm not sure that it will be of help. I uninstalled all old versions of CHIRP and did a fresh install of the 20230905 version on this computer
IMG files for both ID800 and IC208 are attached for reference.
I'd be happy to test a revised version that corrects either or both issues.
Great to have one program that does ALL of my radios (IC-2100, IC-208H, ID-800H, UV3R, FT60)....wish it could do my IC207H.....
