Description
I just purchased the new Yaesu FTM-6000 and note that it is not yet documented as supported by chirp.
If it is supported in some way please provide info on how that is done.
If it is not supported I will be glad to work with a developer to get support working.
Yaesu does provide a programming cable and software package for the unit so I will start with that, but going forward I suspect that chirp should be able to do the support soon.
Please provide the info requested above and if necessary put me in touch with a developer for this purpose.
Thank you.

I am dropping out of CHIRP development due to health issues.
If another developer wants to take it over, the driver is finished and passes all tests.
It includes the FTM-200.

Hi,
I also just purchased this radio and I'm having trouble programming it via the software on Yaesu's website. I didn't see it in Chirp either, but then I found this ticket.
First, I hope Rick is feeling better. Second, I was wondering there's been any more work on support for this radio? Did anyone end up taking it over?
Thanks.

Walt, here's the current version I took over from Rick. You can try it using the LoadingTestModules procedure. I still have yet to go through it myself, and I don't have that radio of course. If you want to give it a shot and provide some feedback about its operation that would be helpful.

TNX Dan - this works perfectly well. Also the settings are updated without any errors. It's ready for release.

I just gave this a test on a FTM-6000R. The read from radio process completed but none of the channels that I had programmed with the official software were read.
