Description

I have a Standard C5900
I see it was replaced by the Yaesu FT-8900.
Is The C5900 programmable with chirp by using the FT-8900 setting and cable?

The Standard C-5900 is a pretty old device. Is it programmable at all? Please check your manual for corresponding information.
If it is programmable, then check which software they recommend.
Just guessing: the Yaesu FT-8900 may be based on the C-5900, but very likely, there are major differences in memory layout etc.

Hi
All you can do with this rig according to the manual is to
save your memory settings to a
optional plug-in eprom. I don't have that little card but it
would be easy to make on a little circuit board. Of course I
wouldn't be able to change anything on it offline as it would only
be 8 bit hex code!
Otherwise it works fine.
Thanks anyway.
