Hola utilice el sofware para uv6r, si bien me toma las frecuencias no me permite cambiar el mensaje WELCOME ni tampoco los niveles de squelch, saludos y gracias me fue mul util chirp en otros modelos 73

If I remember correctly, I believe that Baofeng removed the ability to modify the welcome message of this radio.

As you found out, this will not work. Chirp prevents you from trying this, because it would indeed destroy your radio.
