Description

TYT TH-9800 comes with a code to perform freq mod. After restart of TYT, expanded trans freqs work 100%. However, when uploading radio to CHIRP, the settings tabs are blank screens with no options. Reset TYT back to Ham Band only and CHIRP settings available again.

The same for me eiter on Win or Ubuntu.

Reseted the radio to the factory default setings.
I attached screenshot bandlimits in original TYT software.
When read with chirp daily "CHIRP daily-20201121" getting the same "no settings" tab.
In both Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux.

Also I attaching the IMF file saved from that read.

I hope it helps.

Probably I can do some diagnostics at my side (I have some expierence in programming).

I tried to change also bandlimits in driver file, but it does not helped either.

Attached also modified driver file.

No, not a duplicate; but the issue here is discussed in a note there. (AE6YN)

Digged a bit more and came to these: #2937 and #3367 and played a bit more:

Used this frequency band limit settings in driver/module file:

        rf.valid_bands = [(26000000,  33000000),
                          (40000000, 71000000),
                          (108000000, 180000000),
                          (220000000, 260000000),
                          (350000000, 399995000),
                          (400000000, 512000000),
            (750000000, 950000000)]

Opened with load module when developer functions enabled.

Finaly got some half good results i.e. when reading radio settings tab was empty, but when saving the file and opening it in Chirp the settings tab was open and ready and I can program it back to radio.
