Description

Radio connected via Prolific USB-serial interface + official CT-62 CAT cable. Port shows up as COM4.
Interface works perfect with Ham Radio Deluxe in both directions.
However CHIRP fails to read the memory from the radio. Below the important lines of debug.log.

I have tried to change the Prolific driver to different version, no change.
If I unplug the USB-serial cable, I instead get a dedicated error message that the port is not found. And as mentioned, HRD works fine with the same setup.

CHIRP on the same PC works fine for programming a Baofeng UV-5R using the special Baofeng cable (also a Prolific driver).
This is being run on a Windows XP SP3.
