Bug #5989
closedloading csv file switches to D-STAR mode
0%
Description
Using chirp-daily-20180707 with a BF-F8HP radio.
I downloaded a selection of nearby repeaters from RepeaterBook.com. (within 15 miles of zip code 97229)
When I open the csv file with chirp, the middle tab, which is usually Settings, is now D-STAR.
And of course, since my radio does not support D-STAR, I cannot upload my new channel memory settings.
What kinds of memory channel entries or settings would cause this "D-STAR" mode?
so that I can edit or delete those entries.
Thanks.

Even if I just Export a current radio .img file (that displays the Settings tab) to a .csv file and then Open the .csv file, chirp now displays the D-STAR tab instead of the Settings tab.
BTW, where does chirp store the serial device and radio type for future use?
Thanks.

Hi,
Any comments on this problem?
What other info can I provide for you?
Thanks.

CSV doesn't equal CSV. To be accepted correctly by Chirp, it must be properly formatted.
Please read this Wiki article: CSV HowTo. Hope this helps.
