Description
Enabling the Busy Channel Lockout feature on the Baofeng UV-5R in CHIRP does not actually enable the feature system-wide, and the feature cannot be enabled on the Baofeng itself; when the setting is changed on the Baofeng, it will immediately reset the feature to "off" when the menu is exited or is scrolled away from the BCL section. The feature can still be enabled in individual pre-programmed channels in CHIRP by opening the "Properties" menu for the channel in question and enabling it there.

BCL is a per channel/per VFO setting. The radio does not support it as a global setting so there is no way for CHIRP to program it as a global setting.
