Bug #565
openWindows - insert row goes wrong
0%
Description
Incorrect CTCSS tone getting set regardless of my trying to correct. Keeps going to 151.4 Should be 103.5
See atttached file, under location 4 & 5. I duplicated 5 just to test.
However, if I create a new entry ie location 6, it seems to work ok.
Tried a few things such as different PL code, but it still would go back to 151.4

Just to add, this error occurs even if I just save the file and then reopen it. You don't need to program the radio to reproduce this issue.

I can't reproduce this with both 3.0 and daily.
In attach the modified image.
Can you please list step by step a procedure to reproduce it?

Very interesting. Well I took the file you uploaded and it works but if you take the orginal file I uploaded, change the location 4 from 151.4 to 103.5 and save it, close it and reopen, it shows 151.4 again.
I will upload another copy now just in case (test35).

Just had this happen again. Attaching another file.
Location 20 keep reverting to 88.5, need 103.5.
If I change to 103.5 and then save, reopen it shows 88.5

OK, here is what I have found out. This happens if I do a "insert row below" while highlighting a channel.
If I fill in the blank new inserted field, it will not save the correct PL code. However, if I take another row and copy and paste over the new empty row, it will work just fine. I also tried to export and import and the same issue occurs. So if I correct the exported PL tone and import it, it will not save the correct PL tone.

I was able to partially reproduce the problem, need a test from you:
1- open image test34.img
2- change row 4 tone to 103.5
3- highlight a different row clicking on it
4- close image (chirp should ask to save, answer yes)
5- reopen the image
Please confirm that in this way the tone is correctly saved.
I expect that if you omit step 3 chirp does not ask to save at step 4, please try and let me know.

Marco,
You hit the nail on the head. That's it, and good find on the sequence.
Guess at this point it should be easy to fix in a future release I suspect.
Thanks!

Good, now that we can reproduce it we'll solve it (in future)... btw the bug seems to be windows specific.
Tnx for your time
