Bug #4703
closedPROBLEM COMMUNICATING WITH IC-2820 & OTHER ICOM DUAL BAND RIG -- OUT OF SYNCH ERROR
0%
Description
Tried to upload the data from my IC-2820 into the 4-1-17 Windows installer version of Chirp. Initially, the upload and download worked fine. Then I started to get error messages stating the radio was out of synch with the program. I used my friends ic-51D and got the same error. Tried resetting the radio (not a full reset) and other settings to no avail. Then we downloaded the 3 Feb 17 release and everything worked fine using both radios! I suspect a data file or .ini type file got corrupted. To late in the evening to try anything else. Thursday night I will reinstall the 4-1-17 Windows installer version and see if the radio will work. If the 4-1-17 version works again, then file corruption is the culprit; however, I do not know the cause of the corruption. Since I am very new to Chirp, this problem may be a duplicate or already solved, but evidently there is something in the 4-1-17 windows release that is not quite right. I will provide more data by the weekend. c
