Bug #3949
openAlinco DR-135T cannot download data
0%
Description
Using ubuntu linux with latest daily of Chirp from ppa - After about a second the cloning window goes and I get the err msg "Unexpected response from radio". The attached debug.log shows some python errors. Tried a slightly older version (20160706) of chirp on different linux (Fedora) and got same error message and looks to be same error log. It did work (download and upload) under windows 7 after a couple of failed tries at first to download.

- Status changed from New to Feedback
- Model affected changed from DR-135T to Alinco DR-135T
You might be the victim of a fake Prolific chip. To make things worse, an FTDI adapter won't work for you either, because the DR-135 is very particular: it likes Prolific only (reason unknown). Your only choice is to find a Prolific cable from a reputable vendor. These cables are not cheap; the cheapies are all fakes.

... And you could review the Wiki: for example, MacOS Tips might have useful things to suggest.
