This model seems very similar to the BF-UV82HP, but also (supposedly) supports the scramble/beat shift/voice inversion feature, like the BaoFeng BF888S and Pofung GT-1 radios. While most Chirp settings work fine on the BF-UV82Max, +Single PTT+ is broken. Regardless of the CHIRP setting, the radio always uses dual PTT. I am willing to loan a radio for testing so the radio can be fully supported.

The ability to set the dual [PTT] buttons to behave as a single [PTT] button is a feature that is exclusive to Baofeng Tech radios. It has to be enabled in the firmware. Without it, CHIRP can't make it happen. The same goes for the ability disable VFO/MR switching.

Did you save a "factory" CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) from this radio? In either case, I would like a copy.

Hey,
Yes, I did save the factory image (attached).

Jamyn,
Thanks for the image. The scramble setting can most likely be added if you can supply an image with it enabled and another with with it disabled.

I have buy some time age UV-82HX. As I can see he have the same firmware number as UV-82Max. Is there any change to supports the scramble/beat shift/voice inversion feature? Here is the OEM image.

The vendor has not been very helpful; I think the feature list incorrectly lists beat shift/scramble. This particular model appears to be a hybrid between the BaoFeng UV82 and the UV82HP. Single-PTT and beat-shift don't appear functional.
I'm attaching the manual for reference.
