I read the instructions above:

Description

Trying to load memory locations in the Kenwood TH-F6A. Using CHIRP instructions and procedure. Can't import data from pbrepeaters.csv to .img file.
Does the TH-F6s have to be in any special mode to be programmed?

You don't use .img files with the TH-F6a. You program it in live mode. You can import a .csv file (and save the existing program as a .csv) but this method of programming does not use .img files.

Has anyone out there successfully programmed the memory in a TH-F6A using CHIRP and a MAC, if so I would really like to hear from you. I have followed CHIRP Beginners Guide. Can't import the .csv file into a .img file. Click on Radio and the menu for import is in GRAY Scale.
I am thinking of installing Windows O/S in my MAC and using a purchased CD with software to load the memories in the TH-F6A.

Finally found my problem. I did NOT have this radio in the PC MODE. See Inst Manual page 45 SP/Mic Jack Interfacing to Peripherals
