Description

Reference CHIRP, Bug Report/Issue
Below are some issues I found for the CHIRP software or ideas for future software updates.

Alinco DJ175 & Alinco DR-135 Program Details: Bug Report/Issue
Software Version 4.0 & 4.1 & current daily buid Sw versions.
All versions appear to have the same issue.

Alinco DJ175 HT, software not showing all available memories after downloading from the radio.
Using the CHIRP software with the Alinco DJ175 HT when you Read or Download from radio the software program
does not show all of the available memory channels that can be programmed or viewed.
The Alinco DJ175 HT has 199/200 channels available but the current version of the software only allows programming
of only 99 channels.
Is there a way to make the software show the other available memory channels so they can be programmed using the software?

Alinco DR-135 Mobile, software not showing Menu/Setttings Option:
Using the CHIRP software with The Alinco DR-135 Mobile when you read or download from the radio the software program
does not have/show the radios Menu/Settings option to modify or change the settings.
You have to change the radio settings manually via the radio.
Is there a way to make the software show the Menu/Setttings option so they can be changed or modified using the software?

Question
Is there a way to "add support" to be able to copy & paste multiple memories from from one program list
into another program list by selecting multiple memory channels you want to move into the other program and pasting them into the
new program or moving multiple memory channels in the same program so they can be moved up/down or into a new channel slot.
Currently if you have multiple memory channels already programmed and you want to move them around you have to move them
one by one into the new location which is very time consuming.
Current software versions only allows for single memory/frequency cut/copy/pasting.
Multiple memory cut/copy/paste option for all models would be helpful.

Question
Is there a way to "add support" for a Quansheng dual band HT. Model # is TG-UV2.
I am currently using this HT and do have a way to modify it''s programming and would like to know if support could be added for this
radio model on future updates.

Question
Is there a way to "add a print option" to the drop down menu for the software so you can print a copy of your programming.

Question
Is there a way to "add an undo option" to the drop down menu for the software so you can undo an action such when you delete
a memory or frequency by mistake so it can be added back.

Question
Is there a way to "add a comments / notes option" to the software for all radio models so you can add a note or comment to the program
beside each frequency such as the name of what the channel is used for or other info.
When you export the current program to CSV a comments box appears on the far right to add comments.
The only downside of doing it that way is you have to add the comments there and if the radio programming is modified or editied
later and a new CSV is created and the old one will be overwriten and the comments do not get transfered into the new CSV.

A comments/notes option for all models would be helpful in the program itself or possibly can be added in the properties or edit box..

Question
Is there a way to add a choice as to which program you want to save / export your current programming to such as a
Microsoft Word file,Text file, Excel file or other type file for later viewing or printing without having to use the software.
Current file Export only allows the program to be exported to Excel even though the software calls it a CSV.
No other Export option is available, a multiple file export option for all models would be helpful.

Question
Is there any known issues reading/downloading the programming from an Icom Mobile, Model # IC-2100.
I am currently using this Mobile radio and do have a way to modify it''s programming and would like to know if there are any
known issues reading/downloading the programming from it.
I tried to read/download the programming from the radio using a USB/8 Pin cable but it would not read the radios
programming and I am not sure if the cable has an issue or improper cable drivers or if the software has an issue.
The cable appears to be working ok and correctly installed on my PC but not sure why the software will not read the radio.
Any ideas would be helpful and appreciated.

An idea:
Since this software is capable of programming multiple radios and most radios require different program cables for each radio
would it be possible to include or add a program to the software to test program cables to make sure the cable you are using is good.
I found a cable testing software online called (Interface Cable Loopback Tester) and thought it would be nice to have a similar version
included in the software file if it is possible to add such a program . Just an idea.

Comment: Take a look at Wouxun Commander software, there is a lot of menu options and features on that software that would
be nice to have in the CHIRP software, if any of those options or support can be added it would make the CHIRP Sw lot more user friendly.
