This issue was proposed to the mailing list some time ago and the consensus at the time was to not expand the memory editor view to display extra fields.

Feature #2273 did expand the ability to access the edit properties for a channel.

You can select one or more memories -> right click -> select properties -> select other tab and edit any of the extra fields.

I'm only rejecting this as the issue was discussed and closed; however if you have more ideas please feel free to propose them.
