Description
CHIRP will not program cross DPL (Inverted xmit & Normal rcv into the radio).
I was attempting to program Inverted DPL 223 on Transmit & Normal DPL 306 on Receive.
CHIRP accepts the settings but when sent to the radio the Receive is ok, but the transmit shows "T-DCS OFF" on the radio itself.
When read back to the software from the radio, the setting is as it should be (as was programmed into the radio).
After programming with CHIRP, read radio with factory software & the settings were "Normal DPL 306" on both xmit & receive.
The changes made with CHIRP regarding the cross DPLs were not saved into the radio properly.
Changed to desired settings with factory software & was able to program radio correctly.
When radio was re-read with CHIRP after programming with factory software, settings showed as follows:
"tone mode"= cross, "DTCS Code"= 223, "DTCS rx Code"= 306, "DTCS Pol"= NN, "Cross Mode"= DTCS->DTCS
When attempting to change the "DTCS Pol" to RN & Reprogram with CHIRP, the same problem described in the opening statement occurs.

Please program some memories with different polarizations, download in chirp and send image here with information of each memory pol setting.
I'll then produce a patch asap.

The same thing happens with my KG-UV6D. I have an image attached with 4 channels differing only by the 4 possible polarity combinations. The Name of each channel indicates how each channel is set. But they are repeated here for clarity.
1 TX N - RX N
2 TX R - RX N
3 TX N - RX R
4 TX R - RX R
I don't know if this will help or not, but this mixed polarity works as expected on my Baofeng UV-5R and UV-B6.

I found a problem in get_memory and sent a patch to developers list.
Set_memory seems correct, please Jim test it on your KG-UV6D and yes all KG-UVx share same dtcs source code.

CHIRP still has an issue with Polarity when writing to the radio after editing within CHIRP. The inverted polarity channels 2 and 3 both have the inverted polarity set to OFF in the radio. But of you read the radio with the Wouxun software, the polarity is correct. If you then write back to the radio with the Wouxun software, the polarity is correct in the radio. So attached are 2 images. The first is the channels with polarity edited by CHIRP and uploaded to the radio. The second is the radio downloaded into the Wouxun software, uploaded back into the radio and then downloaded by CHIRP. I have to leave for work soon or I would compare them myself.

Found it!
I sent a second patch with pol set fix which is to be applied after the previous one.
Waiting for feedback to close this issue.
