Description

Programming my TK-8180H Kenwood.
I like that CHIRP works for prgramming this now.

In the section where you program the Keys assignments. The current nomencalture for the buttons (keys) is confusing.

Ex. Left side of radio has two vertical keys, up and down arrows.
Across the bottom - Triangle, S,A,B,C,Square
Right side has two fertical keys, double up and down arrows.

When reading from the radio is does not download the current configuration.

Thank you.

Yep, this is a known issue - the key descriptions match the portable (i.e. TK-3180) and not the mobile (TK-8180). I can work on getting this fixed up.

What do you mean by "When reading from the radio is does not download the current configuration" ? Your image clearly has the key assignments from your radio...

I didn't realize I had sent the text that I didn't spell check. Lol.
What I see on the Keys page doesn't match what is on my mobile. When I get
back home I can be more detailed. But I like using it better than the
Kenwood native programmer.

Okay the functions seem to match up for me, it's just the names of the buttons that don't match the mobile. But yeah, unless you tell me "Button B is X and should be Y" then I can't really tell that it's wrong from here.

Okay. No biggie. I'll do a detailed check tomorrow. Thanks for the quick
response!
