I have to use the weird Chinese software to add DTMF Encode items. Can we add that functionality in CHIRP?

If you can include a before/after chirp .img file from editing (try to change only one thing between two successive images) we might be able to do that without much trouble.

I'm out of town this week.  I'll see if I can create those images this weekend.  Thanks,

Okay and how long can each of those fields be? Is that screenshot with your image loaded? I assume not since there's nothing in M1, and the images you sent appear to have something in a later dtmf memory (with the char 4 in it).

This is what I get from your image if I guess that there are 16 codes, 4 chars each, but I'm guessing they can actually be longer than that?

I'll test tomorrow.  I think they can be five digits.  Is there any other info I can collect?
Also, if there's appetite, I could send you or someone a radio to dig out every feature it has.  I kinda like this one and hope to have it in my car for a long time!

Thanks, I have one, it's just a major pain for me to run their software and I haven't decoded settings I have no use for.

Maybe an image with every code set to the full-length in some pattern that I can recognize, like:

  • M1: 11111
  • M2: 22222
  • ...
  • M16: #1#1#

OK, here's an image with M1 is a bunch of 1s, M2 is all the 2's I could put in, M3 is four threes, and so forth.  M10 is 0010 through M16 0016

Okay I got those codes all working. I can give you a module to try, but due to a bug in the chirp base (which is now fixed, but you don't have locally) setting the values will be broken. So what else on that dialog is required for you to do your PTTID stuff?

I'm happy to test whenever the release that contains this and the other fix you mentioned is released.  Right now, I'm not sure if there's anything else I need.

Okay I'll push this in as-is then and you can open more issues for more settings if needed later.
