openQYT KT-8900D - Slots C & D won't set...

Hi Team,
In the QYT KT8900D chirp settings I've set:
- Basic Settings -> Transceiver multi-receive = A+B+C+D - this should mean that all 4 slots can be set to different channels/frequencies. It works when I set C+D to the channels I want using the dial, so I know these settings are valid in the radio itself.
- Work Mode Settings -> VFO/MR modes all set to "Channel" A+B+C+D
- Work Mode Settings -> MR A Channel = 100
- Work Mode Settings -> MR B Channel = 102
- Work Mode Settings -> MR C Channel = 98
- Work Mode Settings -> MR D Channel = 66
- Upload to the radio
- C and D are not showing as channels 98 & 66
- Using the right-hand knob, manually set C and D to channels 98 & 66
- Turn the radio off using the power switch and back on again (push and hold the left hand knob) - Radio remembers C+D correctly
- Power off the radio completely via the power supply
- Power on the radio via the power supply *Note: All these channels are programmed into the radio. See picture of radio showing that they work as expected, and of the radio on initial power supply turn on showing the differences.
Expected results:
On radio power on, A+B+C+D should display the channels set in items 3-6
Actual results:
On radio power on, Only A+B are on the correct channels, C+D display incorrect channels.

I'm pretty sure that this is a bug in the radio. As a test, do the following...
- Manually set the A-B-C-D display lines to channels 100, 102, 98 and 66 respectively using the radio's front panel/keypad.
- Power the radio off.
- Power the radio on.
- List which channels are selected for A, B, C and D.

Thanks Jim - I did wonder whether this is a radio bug myself. I mentioned above that I tested the procedure you suggested.
The radio remembers C+D if you power off/on via the on/off button on the radio (long push the left knob) - if you power cycle the radio using the PSU then the radio forgets. The radio also doesn't startup with C+D set correctly after CHIRP has written the channel data.

As I expected. After an upload the radio triggers a refresh (which is equivalent to a power cycle) to configure itself with the settings that were just uploaded. After a power cycle the radio fails to read/restore the channel numbers for the C and D display lines. This has been a bug in this and similar (QYT KT7900D, BTECH UV-25X2, UV-25X4, etc) models since being was released. There is nothing that CHIRP can do to overcome this shortcoming of the radio. You experience with the factory software should be the same.

Interestingly, my BTECH UV-25X2 in the car behaves correctly! Must be a different software version. A shame these radios cannot have a firmware upgrade to fix it.
