Description

The current Chirp Me only allows Low (L) and High (H) Power Levels for
the QYT KT-8900D. Current models are supporting (L), (M), and (H).

As a result, I cannot store I cannot store channels with Medium as the preferred power, no way to manually over ride this issue.

Please amend as needed. Thank you!

You simply set it to the power level that you want in the radio and then download into CHIRP. CHIRP will remember it as long as you don't try to change the power levels in CHIRP.

In order to investigate the potential for adding support to CHIRP, you will need to either submit 3 images with the only difference being the TX power level programmed in a single channel or submit a single image with 3 adjacent channels that are identical except for the TX power level.

You misunderstand.

The software supports Low and High, the radios now all have Low, Medium,
and High. Currently you CANNOT SET IT TO MEDIUM WITH CHIRP, IT WON'T ALLOW
YOU YO WRITE IN MEDIUM, AND THERE US NO SELECTION FOR MEDIUM.

HOW DO YOU TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THAT?

No, John you misunderstand. We are not asking you for pictures, of course, and please be respectful in your responses.

We are asking you for a memory image of your radio, as downloaded by CHIRP, with at least one memory stored at each power level along with the information about which memory is at each level so we can determine what the radio thinks "medium" is.

Please respect our time by reviewing the IssueInstructions you indicated you read and use the How_To_Report_Issues instructions to update this bug after you have captured the data from the radio we asked for.

I cannot photograph an intangible like watts power. If you cannot simply
add the medium setting, someone else will.

And yes, I read the rules to submit. But it is not a bug, it is a missing
feature.

John, again, nobody is asking for photographs.

Until you take the time to actually read what we're asking for, I'm going to mark this as blocked, as it is not actionable without providing the information we're requesting.

If you want to be non responsive, I'll just go to RT systems a buy
something. I didn't know it was do difficult to ask for an update tha is
around two tears old.

Just remove my request, I don't think your programmers can do it.

I don't program in the language Chirp is written in, or I'd volunteer my
time and do it for myself and submit it for distribution if you thought it
worked.

Just remove my request and my account, it is not worth getting hassled for
trying to help.
