Description

There is support already for the FT-2800M, FT-2900R/1900R, and FT-2900R/1900R(TXMod).

I believe the 2980 is the next in line after those, so it should be fairly similar.

I was thinking about buying this radio, but would like it to work with the same software I use on my other radios.

I have a 2980R and have done some quick work to get it working in Chirp. I will do the xmit (MARS) mod, verify that works, and then try to create a Pull Request
