Description

Folks,
Updated to Chirp-Next and my previous desktop icon does not work and a new one was not added by the install program. I find "chirpw.exe" in the CHIRP folder and can created my own shortcut. Did I miss and option to have the installer. I could not find any complaints of this in the bug list.

If you didn't uninstall the legacy one first, then next overwrote it but didn't recreate the start menu item because it existed, I suspect. I think almost everyone is upgraded at this point and I haven't heard of this problem yet. I think if you uninstall (even using chirp-next's uninstaller) and delete your custom shortcut, it should get re-created for you (in the start menu only) cleanly if you want.
