Description

Programming a new (to me anyway) radio, Baofeng UV5-RX. The suggestion is to use the Radioddity UV5RX3 to program this. It worked. I was able to read from and write to the radio, just fine. However, when I clicked on the Settings tab in order to open the settings page, I got an error:

'NoneType' object is not iterable

After this the settings page was blank. Everything else continued working normally. I expected there to be settings from the radio.

The problem is that your radio is missing any valid data for VFO A (See attached screen capture. The highlighted area is where the VFO A data should be.).

You should be able to 'fix' it by switching to VFO (frequency) mode, then switching to the top (A) VFO and keying in a valid VHF/220/UHF frequency. Then after downloading the changes into CHIRP, the settings should display. Performing a RESET may also put valid data into VFO A.

Just don't upload and old images that don't have VFO A data back into your radio because they will overwrite VFO A and cause it to be 'blank' again.

Just in case that doesn't work (I don't know why it wouldn't), I have attached your 'image' with the VFO B data copied to where the VFO A should have been.
