Description

Hi, I really need support for th retevis rt24V (freenet).
Using the RT24 Model Profile is causing an "frequency not in range" error.
it would really help to configure the rt24 profile so that it accepts the pmr AND freenet frequencies or create a new rt24v profile with the freenet frequencies.
except for the frequencies, the two models (rt24 and rt24V) seem to be programmable in the same way

Thanks in advance!

Danny

When Retevis sent me an RT24 for CHIRP development, they intended to send an RT24V at the same time but didn't have any in the warehouse to ship. They never followed up to send me one.

Here is a quick and dirty demo driver module that adds a selection for RT24V. Instructions for LoadingTestModules . Give it a try and report back.

Would you attach a CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) file that was saved from your radio so that it can be included with the driver submission?

Another question is does the RT24V allow the user to use 16 channels or is it limited to only selecting 6 channels?

Unfortunately, the knob is physically limited to 6 channels, at least on my devices.

I have attached the corresponding file.

As soon as I got out my RT24 and saw the rotary know, I suspected that the rotary know might be mechanically limited to only 6 positions. I will try to create and attach an updated driver to support only 6 channels.

Also, thanks for the file.

Here is the latest revision. If it check out OK, I will submit this for inclusion in CHIRP.
