I have one of these and also searching for a way to use Chirp or other software, any assistance appreciated.

Same here, CHIRP won't recognise it, mine is TH-15S PRO

I just got this radio, and through trial and error, noticed that using the latest version of chirp (2024-06-26) if you select Baofeng_5RM it will let you download from the radio and program the channels and basic settings. Not sure if this has some limitations, but so far I haven't noticed any. Hope this helps.
