Description
Using UV-5R, I have a ham radio repeater 223.940 with -1.6 meg offset. When I try to set "Skip" for scanning, program says "Invalid edit 223.94 and 223.34 (xmit) are out of range.
The program allows those frequencies to be entered and uploaded to radio and radio transmits the correct 223.94 - 223.34 (T & R).
Using Chirp downloaded today CHIRP nex-20230125

Note that in the above examples, you are providing frequencies that are only 0.600 MHz apart, not 1.600. I will assume that you meant 222.34 MHz for the TX frequency.
You didn't mention which Vendor / Model selections you are using. Only support for 2 bands (VHF/UHF) is provided if you are using Vendor: Baofeng / Model: UV-5R and both the TX and RX frequencies are out-of-band. To have support for 3 bands (VHF/220/UHF) you must use Vendor: Radioddity / Model: UV-5RX3 (see attached screen capture).
