CHIRP

This is a curious one... I've looked EVERYWHERE for detailed info on ths unit, but can't seem to find anything that links back to a manufacturer.

The unit is very well-made and similar in function to the BF-888S, but has the addition of a black/green LCD screen and lacks a function button.

The manuals for the unit is very brief and in Chinese, however I managed a moderately successful translation in Google Translate.

The unit supports DSC and CTCSS (in addition to other things like VOX control), but there appears to be no way to select this from the unit's actual controls (just the channel-change dial, PTT button and "RX" button).

The manual mentions (several times) "software" and "computer program" to enable/change certain settings. Why it can't be done from the unit itself is both frustrating and confusing! I've also had zero-luck in tracking down said 'software'

The unit has a USB-C port, (along with the usual mic/ear-set connectors), which it can use for recharging, but also (I'm assuming) for programming?

I'm hoping that someone can recognise the features of this unit, in the hope that it is already supported under a different model-name...

If not, what's the chances of getting this unit into CHIRP?

I'm more than willing to supply a unit (or at least pay for someone to purchase a unit from ebay, etc), but I'm stuck down in Australia! :-)
