Description

CHIRP not recognizing Baofend BF-8HP and UV-5R. However, using the same cable I am able to communicate with a BTECH UV-25x2. Ports have been verified and double checked. Debug file attached.

You are using the wrong programming cable. The UV-5R and BF-F8HP use the Kenwood style 2-pin programming cable. The UV-25X2 used a single pin programming cable. See links below.
