Description

Newly purchased UV-82 radio download reporting "???????" firmware in Firmware Message 1.

#3 key on power-up reports N82302, but I'm not sure how accurate that is as my other radio has the same #3 value but shows N822413 in that CHIRP field.

I am using CHIRP daily-20210429. See attached.

Your radio is not providing any text for CHIRP to display. It is becoming more common for some radios to not provide any displayable information to CHIRP. This is not a bug with CHIRP, the issue is with the radio.
