Bug #8251
closedBaofeng UV-82 ptt not working after using chirp
0%
Description
Good afternoon everyone. I come to ask for your help, I have a new baofeng UV-82 I tried and everything worked fine. I installed Chirp to program the frequencies, everything went well and the frequencies were memorized. The problem is that both in memorized frequencies as well as in manual frequencies the radio's ptt when loaded sends a signal, gives a signal on another radio, but does not transmit the voice. When I insert a portable ptt everything works as it should be, I can click on the ptt of the radio or the portable ptt that it transmits on the micro of the portable ptt. In other words, something from the Chirp software disfigured the radio's ptt. Cumps

Hi André,
The UV-82 is transmitting. The remote radio has selective enabled (a PL tone or DPL code). If you don't have the matching tone/code programmed to be transmitted by the UV-82, the remote radio will ignore the transmissions.
So either disable the selective squelch on the remote radio or program the UV-82 to transmit the matching tone/code.
This is not really a CHIRP issue.

Thank you so much for your answer. The Radio baofeng-Uv-82 is new, I only used it 1x, before programming it with the chirp I tried it and everything worked fine, only after sending the list of frequencies was it like this. The strange thing about the problem is if I insert a portable ptt into the radio it sends and receives, without disturbing the frequencies, so I think it is not a problem with the frequencies. But I will analyze the tone frequencies, but the strange thing is when the ptt is inserted tx all right

André,
Oh. OK. Now I am on the same wavelength... your radio has a hardware problem which was apparently created when plugging in the programming cable.
What happens is that when you insert the 2-pin plug from a "portable ptt", a contact in the 3.5mm jack is lifted to disable the internal microphone. A similar contact is lifted in the 2.5mm jack to disable the internal speaker. When the 2-pin plug is removed from the socket, both contacts are supposed to return to their original position to re-enable the internal microphone and internal speaker. It would seem that the contact for the microphone is not returning as it should leaving the internal microphone disconnected. I'm sorry I didn't pick up on that from your original post.

Thank you very much for your help, I was disappointed with the quality of this radio, 1 x was enough for the radio to be right with the problem ...Cumps

- Status changed from Incomplete to Closed
- Model affected changed from (All models) to Baofeng UV-82
Although not resolved, the reason for the issue was found not to be caused by Chirp.
