Bug #8139
openBTECH UV-50X3 not skipping memory channels during scan
0%
Description
Issue: ALL memory locations are used during the memory frequency scan: the "S" flag is being ignored. It should only be scanning memory locations/frequencies that DO NOT have the "S" flag enabled in Chirp¶
BTECH UV-50X3 / Baofeng
Using Chirp Daily full build as of 07/26/2020
On Mac OSX 10.15.5
Using BTech FTDI cable¶
1 - Clone radio
2 - Import memory list
3 - Upload to radio
- Close Chrip and test "scanning" of memory frequencies. ALL memory locations are used during the scan: the "S" flag is being ignored.¶
Power cycle radio and re-test - Same issue¶
Files:
A - Radio Image
B - Chirp log
C - Frequency memory list (CSV)¶
Happy to re-test or use "in dev" code to help.

Hi Brian,
It sounds to me like you have the "Memory scan type" setting set to "All" (the factory default). The "All" selection scans all of the channels regardless of the "S" flag. You should change the setting to "Selected" to only scan the channels that have the "S" flag enabled.
Settings -> Basic Settings -> Memory scan type: All | Selected

I changed that setting and power cycled but it's still scanning channels that I have set to "skipped".
Could there be multiple settings that need to change ?
