Donald or John,
could you do me a favor and test my fix? This is how you can do that:

  1. enable developer mode: help -> check enable developer functions,
  2. load this module: file -> load module, point to the ft4.py you downloaded,
  3. perform radio communication as usual,
  4. test whether the inversion problem is gone.
  5. Let me know. Thanks!

Hello. I'm not Donald or John but I just ran into this issue, found this ticket, and followed your instructions. Your fix does appear to do the trick.

After downloading and loading your module the channels that were being erroneously marked with 'SKIP' now accurately reflect that they're set to 'SKIP' in the Chirp UI. I used Chirp's slick multi-select / bulk property update function (big thanks to whoever implemented that!) to switch them all from 'SKIP' to blank, uploaded to my radio, and now I'm able to scan my memory channels.

Thank you!
