Description

I'm unable to complete a successful upload to my Yaesu VX-6r radio using a FTDI cable on OS X Mojave 10.14.1 (18B75). The logs did not indicate any error, but the radio itself displayed error

I was able to download from the radio.

The debug.log is attached.

Any ideas why and how this can be addressed?

Thanks

Further note - in a Windows Virtual machine running on OS X Mojave, the chirp software is able to download successfully to the radio using the same FTDI cable.

During the download process, the red and green lights on the cable flash and then the green light flashes while the software progress bar advances until the download is complete on Windows.
On OS X, the red and green lights flash and stop. The software indicates that downloading is happening, but the progress bar doesn't advance and the radio times out and displays error.

MacOS notes: this OS is apparently very picky about USB to Serial cables. From what I heard, only (genuine) FTDI-based cables can be made work.
You must have the KK7DS Python runtime for Mac OSX installed.
