Description
Trying to read/clone data from Baojie BJ-218
on Win7 64bit with Chirp daily, cable - a kind of multiversion X-in-1 with interchagable connectors with Profilic driver 3.2.0.0.
I am getting:
Exception Dialog: Error reading from radio: not the amount of data we want.
Debug.log attached.
Notes:
I can clone Baofeng UV-5R with the same cable another connector.
The cable I used is this one:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8-in-1-USB-Programming-Cable-MOTOROLA-ICOM-KENWOOD-YAESU-Handheld-Mobile-Radio-/201674412211
I used that end/connector marked with "K-8108 etc."
In that group is likely included these:

TK-740/TK-840, TK-750
TK-705/TK-805, TK-709/TK-809, TK-706/TK-806, TK-706D/TK-806D
TK-752/TK-852, TK-759/TK-859, TK-940/TK-941TK/840/TK-940, TK-841/TK-941, TK-715/TK-815, TK-705D/TK-805D, TK-630/TK-730/TK-830/TK-930, TK-709/TK-809, TK-6110K, TK-6110K2 series etc°

My suspicions about that cable is wrong was right.
I started to check the pinouts of cable I used and and to caompare those that I found on internet:
https://sutemos.lt/picture.php?/46/category/9
http://www.popular-hifi.com/shack/qyt_kt7900d/index.html
And found that they are different.
Soldered my version and voila - it is working ;-)
The right one is:
Conclusion:
The Exception "Error reading from radio: not the amount of data we want" could mean also that wrong cable or messed pinouts are used.
Thank you for your work and mark this as fixed.
