Bug #5051
closedIC-2100H Unexpected response from radio
0%
Description
I have been using CHIRP quite happily for the past 3 or 4 years to program both a BaofengV5R and 2 ICOM - IC-2100H radios. The time I programmed the IC-2100 was in 2015. I recently tried to add some freqs to the 2100 and got the following error message: "Failed to communicate with the radio: Unexpected response from radio" when I try to download from, or upload to, the radio. I have tried in 2 different Windows 7 boxes and Mac running the most up to date version of El Capitan. I am using a Valley enterprises FTDI OPC-478 cable which gets recognized by the OSs and is firmly seated in the jack. I have used the same cable to program my IC-2730 using the Icom software so I am reasonably confident that it is not the cable. A copy of the latest debug log is attached. I rolled CHIRP back to an earlier release (0.4.1) but get the same error message. I am wondering if someone has a clue as to what has happened. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Have you been able to resolve this on your own since you submitted this?
Maybe an OS update caused your trouble. I'm not a Mac user, but perhaps it's a USB driver issue?
