Description

I bought 2x Baofeng BF F9V2+ radios and neither will work with chirp. I know the issue is not with my computer or cable, because I also have a Baofeng UV-5R+ and it works perfectly through the same authentic Baofeng cable with Chirp.

I've tried selecting BF-F8HP and every other option in Chirp but none work.

I see the com port show up from the serial usb adapter cable, the "cloning" box pops up but the progress bar doesn't move.
Then I get a popup that says "An error occurred" and "Radio did not respond"

Running Chirp daily-20170414 on Windows 10 and no driver issues.

Any help GREATLY appreciated, I don't want to return these if I don't have to. Thank you.

The most likely cause is that the 2-pin plug is not fully connected with the socket of the radio.

I've tried holding the cable in tightly, loosely, gently setting it in, etc. I didn't have issues with the other model of Baofeng I have, just these.

Exactly. Since we know CHIRP works with the other radio, CHIRP work and the cable. Since CHIRP talks then the same way, there must be a problem with the connection. Sorry.

Does the factory programming software work with these radios? I would be very surprised if it did.

Thanks guys, I'm returning them both and buying BF-F8HP's from a different seller.
