I read the instructions above:

Description

Is there any way to allow Decode Frequency's to have decimals such as 584.8?
Also is there a way to allow the Encode Duration to be allowed higher than 1000ms to say 3000ms or 3 seconds?
I need to be able to have my own user Frequency and Durations and I can't do that with the OEM software and it seems Chirp is doing the same.

Thanks

  • Tracker changed from Bug to Feature
  • Subject changed from 2 Tone to Allow to set tone frequency and duration freely
  • Status changed from New to Feedback
  • Chirp Version changed from 0.4.0 to daily

DTMF, 2-tone, or sub tone?

Sub tone frequencies are standardized (more or less), and most radios adhere to a set list of them. We know that there are some radios which allow the user to freely set subtones. Unfortunately, Chirp doesn't support this.

The frequency of 584.8 you list (and the title wording you chose) suggests it isn't subtones. Does the radio support setting any frequency with a 0.1 Hz precision? Does it allow to set the length of a tone? In general, if the radio doesn't support it, then Chirp can't make the radio do it. If the radio allows it, then the driver could be modified.

The 2-Tone Frequency is what I'm interested in.
I would like to make Tone 2 (B) 3 seconds but it doesn't allow over 1 second.
Thanks
